March 31, 2010 -- Following the bombings in two metro stations in Moscow on Monday, President James Michel has sent a message of condolence to President Dmitry Medvedev of the Russian Federation.

President Michel said "it was with profound sadness that Seychelles learned of the Moscow metro blasts that left dozens of Russians dead and many injured.

On behalf of the government and the people of Seychelles I would like to extend my sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to you, to the relatives and friends of the victims, and to the people of the Russian federation, said President Michel.

"The government of Seychelles would like to reaffirm that it condemns this act and any other acts of terrorism and assures its solidarity to the Russian federation in this moment of national sorrow," added the message.
