Congratulations to new Filipino leader

May 14, 2010 -- The President, Mr James A Michel, yesterday sent a message of congratulation to the new President of the Philippines, Mr Benigno Acquino.
"Following your election as the President of the Republic of the Philippines, the government and the people of the Republic of Seychelles join me in expressing to you our warmest and most sincere congratulations.," said President Michel in his message.
"It is my hope that the excellent ties of friendship and cooperation that exist between our two countries will be developed further during your office, and I look forward to working closely with your government.
 "Please accept, Your Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration and our best wishes for the continued development and prosperity of the Philippines," President Michel said.
