June 12, 2010 -- President James Michel has sent a message of 'warmest and most sincere felicitations" to the President, government and people of Russia on the occasion of that country's national day.

The full text reads:
                    
 "YOUR EXCELLENCY,

The celebration of the 20th anniversary of the national day of the Russian Federation affords me and the people of Seychelles the great opportunity to extend to you, the government and the people of Russia, our warmest and most sincere felicitations.

It is with pride that I admire the great achievements of Russia since it became a sovereign state 20 years ago. It is yet another display of courage and determination of the people of the Russian federation to see a better and more prosperous Russia.

Our two nations have successfully shared many years of cordial and effective relations which have lead to mutual development and growth of both countries in many areas. I stand ready in close collaboration with your Excellency to incessantly push forward the Russia-Seychelles relations.

Please accept your Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration and my sincere wishes for your continued good health and for the well-being of the people of Russia.
