President Michel meets with Rotary District Governor and Club Presidents

President James Michel met with the Rotary International District 9220 Governor Mr Alen Topsy this morning at State House. He was accompanied by the presidents of the two Rotary Clubs of Seychelles: the Rotary Club of Victoria, which exists since 1969, and the Rotary Club of Victoria Coco de Mer which was chartered in 2013.

Mr. Topsy briefed the President on the activities of the Rotary Clubs of his district as well thanking the Government for the support of the public administration to the Rotary Clubs, which he said was indispensable in their work in the community.

President Michel thanked the Rotary Clubs of Seychelles for their continued hard work, which he said made a difference to the community. He added that civil society has an important contribution to make to national development.

Present at the meeting were also the President's Diplomatic Adviser, Ambassador Callixte D'Offay, the Rotary Assistant District Governor Mr. Bernard Leong Son, the President of the Rotary Club of Victoria Coco de Mer, Mrs Dinaz van der Lans, the President of the Rotary Club of Victoria, Mr. Bernard Croguennec, the President-elect of the Rotary Club of Victoria Mr. Marco Rivolta and the President-elect of the Rotary Club of Victoria, Mrs Foram Patel.
