Condolence message sent to Pakistan by President Michel following Lahore suicide bombing

Following a devastating and senseless act of terror which has claimed over 60 lives in Lahore, Islamic Republic of Pakistan, President James Michel has sent  letter on behalf of the Government and people of Seychelles to Mr Mamnoon Hussain, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

President Michel remarked that it was was with profound sadness and shock to have learnt of the suicide bombing that claimed more than 60 lives and injured over 200 others.

In his message President Michel said, "the Government and the people of Seychelles stand in support and solidarity with the people of Pakistan and wish to convey our heartfelt condolences to families of those who lost their lives and to those injured a speedy recovery.

President Michel also noted that the Government and people of Seychelles join him in condemning callous acts of terror and it was his wish that those responsible are swiftly brought to justice.
