President Michel sends condolence message to Italy following devastating earthquake

Following the devastating earthquake which took struck central Italy during during the early hours of Wednesday, President James Michel has sent a message a condolence to Mr Mr Sergio Mattarella, President of the Italian Republic on behalf of the Government and people of the Republic of Seychelles.
In his message President Michel noted that as rescue efforts continue to undercover the devastating consequences of the disaster, the people of Seychelles join Italy in mourning the tragic loss of life, whilst praying for the safe return and speedy recovery of the trapped and injured.
A magnitude 6.2 earthquake has struck central Italy, which has left leaving at least 40 people dead and 150 missing, as rescuers search for survivors.
