New Ethiopian Ambassador to Seychelles accredited

The new ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the Republic of Seychelles, Ambassador H.E. Mr. Dina Mufti Sid presented his credentials to President James Michel, at State House this morning.
The President congratulated Ambassador Sid on his accreditation and they discussed a wide range of issues with a view to strengthen relations between the two countries, including the fight against piracy, peace and security in the Horn of Africa, as well as trade and tourism.
Ambassador Dina Mufti Sid said that there is great potential to develop tourism and trade between Ethiopia and Seychelles.
“There is a very good relationship between our two countries, but we have to step it up…. We will be looking at expanding the cooperation in the areas of trade and investment” he said.
Ambassador Dina Mufti Sid is based in Nairobi, Kenya. Seychelles and Ethiopia established diplomatic relations on 14th April 1982.
Also, present during the meeting were the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Transport, Joel Morgan and the President's Diplomatic Adviser, Ambassador Callixte d'Offay.
